Remembrance Day Assembly

Wow!  What an amazing leadership group we have!  Several comments were made about our class' great presence and volunteerism for our assembly this year.  We had double the amount of students volunteer than was needed, and the presenters that were chosen did a fantastic, professional and respectful job.  Well done!

Also, the Postcards for Peace our class wrote to veterans and serving CAF members have been sent out.  They were thoughtful and encouraging.  I know they have already been appreciated.

Christmas Shoe Boxes Ready to Share!

This box will be given to a girl our age.......

And this one will go to a boy!
Division 1 spent the last few weeks putting together two shoe boxes STUFFED with all kinds of goodies that will be delivered to children in desperate situations around the world.  They will be delivered sometime in December.  In Health & Career Education we are learning that doing "acts of kindness"  helps to make a PBA (Personal Bank Account) deposit.  What a good opportunity to practice what we are learning.  Way to go Division 1!!

Sugar Bowl 2011

The Outrageously Outgoing Orange Team!!

The Boldly Brainy Blue Team!!

For 10 years Coach Jim Gray has organized and hosted a district soccer day.  It is incredibly popular with the kids and a great opportunity to spend time with other grade 7 students across the district.  We were fortunate to have great weather which means it didn't rain!  A great big THANK YOU goes out to Mr. Gray, the referees, the parent & grand parent drivers/cheer leaders, and of course, all the kids!
THANK YOU!!!!

These two were awarded for the prize winning popsicle stick bridge! Great teamwork and design!

Welcome!

Mrs. Wilson & I are excited to embark on our first blogging adventure together. Our hopes for this blog firstly are that it will be a place to celebrate our students, your children. We would like to use it as a communication tool also. Please feel free to let us know how this might work better for you. Enjoy!
